Pregnancy Massage can help alleviate common discomforts associated with pregnancy, such as back pain, swelling, and stress. It also promotes relaxation, improves circulation, and enhances your overall sense of well-being during pregnancy.

Pregnancy Massage is safe from the second trimester onwards when performed by a trained professional. At Remedium Wellness, we do not offer massage during the first trimester to prioritise safety and the early development of your baby.

Pregnancy Massage focuses on the unique needs of expecting mothers, using gentle techniques and supportive positions to ensure safety and comfort. Special attention is given to areas of strain, such as the lower back, hips, and legs, while avoiding sensitive areas.

The frequency of Pregnancy Massage depends on your individual needs and preferences. Many mothers benefit from monthly sessions during the second trimester and more frequent treatments during the third trimester as their body prepares for labour.

At Remedium Wellness, we prioritise your comfort, safety, and relaxation. Our practitioners are experienced in pregnancy care, ensuring that every massage is tailored to your needs and delivered with the utmost care and professionalism.

As is with all effective manual therapy techniques, some patients may experience certain levels of discomfort during the treatment process, as well as through the physical therapy routine thereafter. However, your Remedium Osteopath will explain how things are "expected to feel", and work within your pain limits to ensure the best therapeutic outcome possible for you as an individual! Your Osteopath may also recommend the use of ice or heat following treatment in order to reduce post treatment pain by neurologically dampening the area that has been worked upon.

Many of our patients have private healthcare insurance that they utilise in order to fund their Osteopathic treatments. Currently, our Osteopath Connie is registered as an registered Osteopath under AVIVA & AXA healthcare, meaning you can claim back a percentage of your appointment with Connie -    Book now with Connie!   . A lot of other private healthcare providers will also allow for claims to be made with registered Osteopaths. If this is something you are interested in, please mention it to your practitioner following your session, and they will add their GOSC registration number to your Invoice for you to claim back on.
